Lit by Love: How Motherhood Found Me Behind the Lens 💛
Motherhood didn’t just change me — it gave me purpose.
When Akira was born, I began photographing her every single month during her first year. I was trained as a designer, but in those quiet, intentional moments behind the camera, I stumbled upon my true calling.
My children became my muses and my mirror — keeping me grounded, curious, and endlessly inspired. During the lockdown, I found myself capturing them more than ever. One of my favourite memories? Aveer becoming the star of one of my commercial shoots.
But not every chapter has been easy. When Aveer was born with a cleft palate, and we were told he’d need surgery within months, it shook us. Yet, as always, my children showed me what strength looks like — quiet, determined, and full of grace.
Now, Sundays are sacred. Creative play with Akira, bedtime snuggles with Aveer — these aren’t just routines, they’re rituals that keep me whole.
To every mother reading this: let your children guide you. Let their light reveal your path — one moment, one memory, one frame at a time.
